Must do's Winter

Enjoy deep silence in a snowy winter wonderland. From the village of Silbertal you follow a wonderful path along the "Wilden Litz" through the valley for about 1 hour. When you arrive at our alpine hut, our team is waiting to take care of you all around and to chase away the cold with hot food and drinks.

For our guests who are enthusiastic about hunting and nature we offer a very special experience: On request, the host family will be happy to take you to feed the game in our 1,400 ha hunting area during the winter months.

At 6.6 km, the natural toboggan run from the Lindauer Hütte through the Gauertal is the longest toboggan run in the Montafon - lots of fun is guaranteed here in any case. The hike up to the Lindauer Hut allows you to overcome 700 metres in altitude with a continuous ascent. Once you have done this, a tasty refreshment awaits you before the tobogganing fun begins.

Along the idyllic Valifenzbach stream, you trudge through the deep snow at the foot of the majestic Madrisa - all around you, only untouched, glistening snow blankets and silence. Enjoy the crystal clear winter air and the view of the surrounding panorama on this breathtaking excursion.

Experience an extraordinary day of skiing in the Silvretta mountain world. In the morning, the Vermuntbahn takes you directly to the mountain station, from where the tunnel bus takes you up to 2,132m, where the Silvrettasee lies at your feet. From the meeting point you hang on to the piste bull to have time to enjoy the view on your skis - until you arrive at the Galtür ski area. There you have the whole day to make the slopesunsafe. In the evening of this eventful day, the Pistenbully will take you as a tugboat back to the valley descent of the Zeinisjoch, from where you drive through the Ganifertal down to the starting point in Partenen.

Are you looking for an alternative to the usual slopes or would you like to try something different with non-skiers? Skifox is a fun winter sports device with which you can race down the slopes in a sitting position. In order to keep your balance better on the narrow seat, short gliders are additionally strapped to your feet - and off you go down the piste.

The edges of the skis glide over the untouched slope while the sun is just rising over the surrounding peaks. This experience is part of the HochjochTotale, the longest valley run in Vorarlberg with 12 kilometres. From the highest point of the Silvretta with 1,700 metres of altitude difference, the run leads down into the valley to Schruns. From the freshly groomed slopes, various serpentine stretches, the longest ski tunnel in the world and the constantly changing views of the surrounding mountain world as the day slowly dawns over the valley, it is hard to say what exactly is the clear highlight here.

The 9.3-kilometre-long high-altitude cross-country trail with a fantastic view over the mountain path starts from the Panoramagasthof Kristberg. With a total of 180 metres difference in altitude, the trail passes the Siebenbrünnele to the Wildried - the peak of the tour. From this wonderfully situated high moor, the trail returns to the Panoramagasthof Kristberg.

Here a tobogganing experience of a different kind: from the village of Garfrescha you go down the toboggan run on sour sledge to St. Gallenkirch - while everythin around you is already dark. The track itself is of course illuminated.

For all those who feel comfortable on the ice, the Aktivpark has opened its doors. Here you can let off steam on the ice to your heart's content. On request, a rink can be reserved so that you can play a game of curling against your friends.
